Sahaja Yoga (Spontaneous Meditation) is a unique method of meditation, bringing physical and mental balance, a special awareness, and last but not least solid inner peace. Spontaneous Meditation was created by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and answers a major necessity for the every day problems of stress, anxiety and psychosomatic problems of modern man in today’s society.
SAHAJA (Sanskrit सहज) ~ means “spontaneous, natural” and YOGA is a physical and mental discipline first mentioned by Patañjali in Yoga Sutra (2nd century BC), but the origin is dated mid 3rd millennium BCE. Figures and sculptures in classical YOGA postures are seen in various temples in India – showing different forms of the discipline.
To begin with, the Kundalini Energy (Sanskrit: कुण्डलिनी ) is awaken and the practitioner receive Self Realization (this state is called by many names in different cultures as Second Birth, Enlightenment, Liberation, Moksha, Satori and Nirvana). Afterwards, through regular Spontaneous Meditation practice, one experiences mental silence, balance and inner peace. The process is effortless and has no age or any other types of limitations.
